The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has introduced Self-Paced Online Modules (SPOM) under the New Scheme of Education and Training, including SET A, SET B, SET C, and SET D covering various subjects. Students can learn and qualify at their own pace after registering for the Final Course, with registration for SPOM without any separate fee.
Under the new scheme, candidates must pass these online modules after passing both groups of the Intermediate Examination to be eligible for the Final Examination.

What are Self-Paced Online Modules?
- SPOM includes SET A, SET B, SET C, and SET D covering various subjects that students can learn and qualify at their own pace after registering for the Final Course.
What are the subjects in SPOM?
- Subjects include Corporate and Economic Laws, Strategic Cost and Performance Management, Elective subjects, and Multidisciplinary subjects with specific durations and learning requirements.
What is the eligibility criteria for SPOM exam ?
- After passing both groups of the Intermediate Examination and registering for CA final. The Candidate shall complete the required learning hours to appear before the exam.
Is there any fee for listening SPOM Classes ?
- No fee is charged for listening SPOM classes.
Where to Login to access the Self-Paced Online Module SET-A and SET-B
to undergo requisite Hours ?
- The student will open the URL of their web browser as per the mentioned URL : SPOM Classes Portal
- Sign in with SSP Login details
- The student will enter their SRO no. and then they get an option to generate an OTP which will be sent directly to their registered mobile number.
- As soon as the user logs in to the system, they will be sent to self- paced online modules section where they will be able to view all the sets and the topics within that set by opening it.
Where to register for SPOM Exam ?
- Undertake the Self-Paced Module Test, by registering him/her self for the Self-Paced Module Test at https://spmt.icai.org, using their SSP login credentials.
Is the Exam, Centre based Online Test or Home Based Online Test ?
- These tests will be computer-based at the specified test centers. i.e., Centre Based Online Test.
What is the qualification criteria to pass SPOM?
- Students must secure a minimum of 50% marks in each module without any restriction on attempts. There are no negative markings in SPOM exams,
Are SPOM marks will be aggregated with final Exam Score ?
- The marks obtained in these modules will not be aggregated with the Final Examination scores.
